Works Best With a Bluetooth Cadence Sensor

This app works best with a cadence sensor attached to your pedal arm, but it offers two alternative modes if you do not have one.

Options Without a Sensor
  • Constant RPM: The app simulates your pedaling speed at a fixed RPM that you choose. Use this with other exercise equipment or without any equipment at all.
  • Side-To-Side Motion: The app calculates your pedaling speed based on your side-to-side body movements. At low resistance levels your body may not move side to side. If this happens, switch to Constant RPM or use a physical cadence sensor.

Any cadence sensor that you can attach to your pedal arm should work.

From the Developer

As a retired Hewlett-Packard electrical engineer, I have spent my career solving complex technical problems. Yet, when it came to my own stationary cycling routine, I faced a persistent hurdle that logic alone could not resolve: boredom. Finding it difficult to maintain motivation for even a 30-minute workout, I decided to engineer a solution.

I began developing this application over two years ago. My initial prototype featured virtual mountainous terrains to explore, but I soon realized that scenic variety alone was not enough to sustain long-term engagement. To truly capture the mind's attention, I pivoted toward interactive, space-themed gaming. I began with intellectually stimulating puzzles and gradually expanded into other genres to ensure the experience remained fresh and dynamic.

The results exceeded my expectations. Today, my 30-minute struggles have turned into effortless 60-minute sessions, and I no longer have to force myself to exercise. I built this software to solve my own problem, and I hope it brings you the same level of focus, motivation, and enjoyment that it has given me.
